Jeisa at Cannes

Here’s an update from Chic News which I attempted (feel free to correct me) to translate—

Brazilian Cannes: session of cinema with the presence of Jeísa (May 17, 2006)

Festival of tropical Cannes. The L’Equipe agency of Brazil, represented by director Lica Kohlrausch, is going to take its top model Jeísa Chiminazzo and 12 more girls of its casting for the session preview of the documentary Puro espírito do Brasil, produced by the O2 Film (City of God, Domestic). The preview of the film happens in home of summer vacation of nobody less than the French fashion designer Pierre Cardin.

The party also should count on Jorge Ben Jor, Ana Beatriz Clays and other personalities of the world of the fashion, music, sports, movies, arts and business. In the same day, a game happens between members of the Brazilian selection of 1994 and international stars, which is still to be confirmed. All those actions have sponsorship of the white rum Sagatiba.

Run, Jeísa, run
To be a model is to have that capability to do everything. Today (17.05), Jeísa arrives in Brazil to be photographed tomorrow by Jacques Dequeker for the next edition of the Brazilian Vogue. The session of Pure spirit happens in the day 22.05. For one to remember: Jeísa is in the campaigns of Dolce & Gabbana, Hugo Boss Label, Paul & Joe and Forum. At the side are the photos that she did for the last i-D. Phew!

The film
Pure spirit of Brazil has a script written by Anna Muylaert (director of Durval Disks), and is divided in eight subjects, as “muvuca”, “bacana” (great)—the slang of the hour, “farofa” e “bagunça” (mess). It was filmed in four Brazilian capitals (Savior, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Florianópolis) between April and May by the team of the O2. A book of photos in the same line will also be launched.

We have two things to look forward to: Jeisa at Cannes, and the upcoming Brazilian Vogue! :)
