Me first! :P

Quel, 20

I’m Quel but you’re free to call me Drakulita - a monicker I got from my grandma. I’m a college senior taking up Comparative Literature at the University of the Philippines. (If you don’t happen to know, the Philippines is a country in South East Asia.) Yes, that’s me (before, during make-up and after!) looking silly during our college yearbook pictorials.

I “met” Jeisa by chance during my first summer break from college - sometime around late March and early April of 2003. I was channel surfing and got hooked on FTV. Suddenly, a very short segment on this girl with full bangs was shown because she’s one of the April birthday celebrants. I was a minute too late in realizing how much I admired her and in capturing her name in my memory. All I ended up with were two clues: first, her birthday’s in April and second, her surname has a ‘z’ in it. Well, you can also add to that her endearing face and the eye-catching full bangs!

After a couple of days or maybe even weeks, I tried googling words like “model”, “April” , “birthday” and even “z” but to no avail. After more detailed searches, I ended up at Ardian’s wonderful Jeisa site at the now defunct http://jeisachiminazzo.hpg.ig.com.br and felt all too happy and lucky. Not only did I find out her name—Jeisa Chiminazzo—but a very informative and visual site as well—Ardian’s!

I don’t claim to know Jeisa as much as Ardian did or as Sara and Maya do but I really wanted to continue what Ardian stopped because I wanted to have a site where we can see what’s up with Jeisa. I still wanted to see how the “the little girl from Brazil” grew up to be the Jeisa we know (or more aptly - see) now. That’s why this site was born.

With the help of people from the message board who didn’t even really know me previously since I never was such a fangirl before (I was the invisible type who’d only save the pictures Ardian posted and never said a thing at the boards), the site became a little more like the one I used to go. I got updates and visuals of all things Jeisa.

Now, I can’t wait to see more!

Next on the list: Sara…since she’s the first one who emailed her profile a couple of months ago! :D
